Republican feasts and Captains Regent investiture in San Marino

Public holidays in the Republic of San Marino celebrate its ancient republican history and traditions of sovereignty. The calendar includes the Feast of Saint Agatha (5 February, commemorating the restoration of independence in 1740), the Anniversary of the Arengo (25 March), the Feast of Saint Marinus and Republic Day (3 September), and the official Investiture of the Captains Regent held twice annually on 1 April and 1 October.

The school calendar is established by delegated state decree, running from September to June with breaks for Christmas and Easter, with national holidays designated as school holidays.
