Catholic feasts and Prince's Day in Monaco

Public holidays in the Principality of Monaco are established by sovereign ordinance, reflecting Catholic heritage and Grimaldi dynastic tradition. National Day (Fête du Prince) on 19 November is marked by official ceremonies and cathedral services, while Sainte Dévote (27 January) honours the patron saint of Monaco with the ceremonial burning of a boat in Port Hercule.

The school calendar is regulated by the Directorate of National Education, Youth and Sports of the Principality, with examinations organised under the aegis of the Academy of Nice, running from September to early July.
