Public and school holidays in Slovenia
Slovenia has the same public holidays everywhere, but every region sets its own school terms. Pick one to see its dates, the weekdays they fall on, and the bridge days around them.

State holidays and school vacations in Slovenia
Public holidays in Slovenia are governed by the Holidays and Non-Working Days Act, distinguishing state holidays commemorating national history — such as the Day of Uprising Against Occupation (27 April), Statehood Day (25 June), and Independence and Unity Day (26 December) — from religious and civic non-working days such as Reformation Day (31 October) and Easter.
The school calendar is set by the Ministry of Education. To manage traffic and capacity in alpine ski resorts, the one-week winter break (zimske počitnice) in February is staggered across two regional groups: Eastern Slovenia and Western/Central Slovenia, alternating order each academic year.
