Wine harvests, St. Martin's Days, and capital school terms

The Bratislava Region combines the civic calendar of the capital with the viticultural heritage of the Small Carpathians. In autumn, wine harvest festivals (vinobranie) and open-cellar days animate Pezinok, Modra, and the Rača district. In November, the capital celebrates Saint Martin's Days (Svätomartinské dni) in honour of Saint Martin, patron of the Archdiocese and Saint Martin's Cathedral, marked by the blessing of the new young wine.

School spring breaks in the Bratislava Region belong to the Western Slovakia group (alongside Trnava and Nitra), rotating annually with Central and Eastern Slovakia across February and March.
