Levoča pilgrimage, wooden churches, and Tatra season

The Prešov Region features rich sacral heritage and the alpine peaks of the High Tatras. In early July, the historic pilgrimage to Mariánska hora in Levoča is celebrated as one of Central Europe's major Marian pilgrimages. The regions of Šariš, Spiš, and Zemplín are renowned for their UNESCO-inscribed Carpathian wooden churches and strong Greek Catholic and Orthodox traditions.
