Sechseläuten and Knabenschiessen in Zurich

In the City of Zurich, two traditional half-day holidays are observed: Sechseläuten on the third Monday of April (the spring guild festival culminating in the burning of the Böögg winter snowman on Sechseläutenplatz) and Knabenschiessen on the second Monday of September (the historic youth target-shooting competition).
