When to take leave in Sardinia

What one, two or three days of leave get you:

Sa Die de sa Sardigna and Sant'Efisio festival

Governed by an autonomous Special Statute, Sardinia celebrates Sa Die de sa Sardigna on 28 April (Regional Law no. 44/1993), the Day of the Sardinian People commemorating the 1794 insurrection and the expulsion of the Piedmontese viceroy Balbiano from Cagliari; it is an official holiday for regional public offices and schools. Cagliari also celebrates the historic four-day Festival of Sant'Efisio (1–4 May) and observes San Saturnino (30 October) as its patron saint.

The regional school calendar is deliberated by the regional government of Sardinia.
