When to take leave in Andalusia

What one, two or three days of leave get you:

Día de Andalucía, Holy Week, and spring fairs

Andalusia celebrates its regional holiday, Día de Andalucía, on 28 February, commemorating the historic 1980 referendum that initiated the process toward full self-government under Article 151 of the Spanish Constitution.

In spring, the region observes Holy Week (Semana Santa) with famous processions in Seville, Málaga, and Granada, followed by local spring fairs such as the Feria de Abril. School terms are regulated by the Regional Ministry of Educational Development, with classes starting in early September.
